Fee Refund Policy – Academic Session 2024–25


In alignment with the University Grants Commission’s directives and in the interest of student welfare, Kartik Oraon College, Gumla adopts the following Fee Refund Policy for the academic year 2024–25:

1. General Refund Guidelines
  • Full Refund: Students cancelling their admission or migrating to another institution on or before 30 September 2024 shall be eligible for a full refund of fees, subject to a maximum deduction of ₹1,000 as processing charges.
  • Partial Refund: Cancellations made between 1 October and 31 October 2024 will be eligible for a refund after deducting ₹1,000 as processing charges.
2. Applicability
  • This policy applies to all admissions processed directly by Kartik Oraon College or through any affiliated counselling or admission bodies acting on its behalf.
  • The College shall remain responsible for ensuring timely refunds, regardless of the admission channel.
3. Refunds Beyond October 2024

For admissions extending beyond 31 October 2024, the refund structure will follow the UGC Notification (October 2018) as outlined below:

15 days or more before the last admission date 100%
Less than 15 days before the last admission date 90%
15 days or less after the last admission date 80%
16–30 days after the last admission date 50%
More than 30 days after the last admission date 0%
4. Grievance Redressal
  • Any delay or denial in fee refunds shall be treated as a grievance under the UGC (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023.
  • Students may approach the College Grievance Redressal Cell for resolution, which will act in accordance with UGC norms.
5. Compliance & Accountability
  • Kartik Oraon College is committed to full compliance with UGC’s Fee Refund Policy.
  • Any violation may attract punitive action as per Clause 5 of the UGC Notification on Refund of Fees and Non-Retention of Original Certificates (October 2018).
